I’ve been looking online for the past week, hoping to see a real deal on the QuckJack car lifting system. Well, today I finally hit pay dirt.
Home Depot has the Quickjack 5000 for just over $1000 — which is more than $400 off the usual discounted price. Rather that piddle shit around hoping for a better deal, I jumped on it. The 5000 was right at $1500 yesterday.
Anyway, I’m glad to get a good deal on one for my garage. I really want a two-post car lift, but I hate the fact the posts are always there and in the way. The Quick Jack won’t raise the car as high as I would like, but its still not bad. The cheapest 2-post lift would run me double the cost of the Quick Jack.
CHRISTMAS PARADE AHEAD. I have filled out the parade entry form, and all I need to do now is to get the car wired for lights. I was going to start on it today, but my uncle Cyril’s 90th birthday bash is this afternoon, and I’m going to that. Cyril is the last of my mother’s siblings, the youngest in the family. Mother would be 97 if she were still alive. Daddy would be 101!
I’m going to take some parade entry forms with me to the Cruiser’s Monday night BK get-together to see if I can entice anyone to join me for the parade.
PLYMOUTH OWNERS CLUB. I finally received confirmation that I am now a member of the Plymouth Owner’s Club. They have a very nice magazine too, though it is clear that the group is strictly interested in original and stock vehicles. We probably get some Plymouths they might be interested in, but not many. Speaking of the magazine, I emailed a driveshaft guy about what info he needed and never heard back from him. Obviously not hurting for business, I would say!
Well, enough this entry, hopefully I’ll have a chance tomorrow and Monday to get the Plymouth wired up and install the inverter.
