Cold November a preview of the coming winter ….

Thursday, Nov. 17, 2027 — Time for an update now that the cruising season has — for the most part — ended.

Due to all the “stuff” going on in October I did not get to take part in either of the monthly cruises by the local group. The car is clean and in the garage, just dusty at this point. Now that the time has changed, it gets dark at 5:30 p.m., making it tough to spend time out there without electricity, which needs to be my next priority.

New cigar lighter awaiting installation.

WHERE’D YOU GO, JOE? My “old school” mechanic buddy, Joe, has retired, and did so before I ever got my Plymouth out to him to work on. I’m a little stressed by this fact, too, because Joe understood the odd universal joints on the mid-50s Mopars. No one under 50 would know much about them today. I still plan to replace the driveshaft with an updated unit. I also need to fix the rubber lines that connect the filler neck with the gas tank inlet. I have a whole host of jobs to tackle, its just going to take time to do it.

SON’S JANUARY SEND-OFF. My son is heading to college in January, and there goes my helper. He helps me by fetching tools and running to get things when I’m under the car, saving me quite a bit of time. I’ll miss him for sure.

The to-do list on the Plymouth hasn’t changed, its all still there. But I really need lights in the garage at this point, so that’s top of the list. I have a nice kerosene heater to help warm it up.

I won’t repeat my to-do list here, but will have to post it with any updates. I just messaged a handyman on FB about wiring my lights, so let’s hope that pans out, lol.
